Down on fourth street today, I love the brick on this building, all messy. I guess when a view is hidden by another building ... stuck in between, it doesn't matter. Now that it's exposed, what does it say?
Been there a while.
More fall colors I see they call this tree liquid gold. I don't know why, mostly they turn red. Hmmmmmm, one of the most beautiful trees I have ever seen had yellow (gold) leaves. It was fall, early morning and there was a fog. I was driving along and all of a sudden out of the mist was this "light" glowing - not shining. It was as if the tree was illuminated from underneath. It's leaves were on the ground as well, bright yellow on green green grass. This helped with the upward illumination. I couldn't believe the beauty! I had to stop the car and get out. I walked under the tree and stood there as I felt I had to experience it. It was a moment, a once in a lifetime thing. It was so unreal it was magical. I wanted to stay there all day. I wanted to stop others to show them the beauty. Why was I the only one there to witness this event? I guess it was meant for me. I think that I should try to capture the momentous event in a painting. My words somehow just are not painting a picture and are not doing that tree moment justice. Soon. I still have yet to get on to painting. It has been a couple of years and I miss it terribly. I should surmise that my golden tree will be my first oil in quite some time. I shall look for other inspirational trees as well. Fall is upon us. Thank goodness.
